Happy Fall everyone!
I continue to be inspired by my students in my classes! They share such simple yet powerful shifts in their lives by practicing mindfulness. My new “Managing Chronic Pain with Mindfulness” classes are underway with great success! This class provides mindfulness tools/skills to modulate pain; educate about the effects stress and trauma has on our pain experience, and how our thoughts and emotions affect our bodies. This class is open to anyone living with chronic pain ages 15+, caregivers and professionals with chronic pain clients. (8 CEUs for social workers, counselors and LMT’s.)
Every day we have multiple opportunities to be more aware of the life we are living. When we pay attention to our present moment experience, with curiosity and openness, we open the door to greater aliveness, embodiment and connection with ourselves and others. This is mindfulness!
As an educator of 30+ years, a former bodyworker and practicing mental health clinician, I infuse my teaching of mindfulness practices and ethics with "real life" tools and resources, neuroscience and open heartedness.
I offer classes and workshops on mindfulness meditation for the beginner to the more advanced practitioner. In addition, I am planning classes on speciality topics, such as mindfulness practices for those with trauma, mindfulness and difficult emotions and using mindfulness to manage chronic pain.
